Privacy Policy
Effective: 3 October 2026
Dwemory is offline-first. Your inventory stays on your device unless you choose to sign in and synchronize it with your Dwemory account.
Information Dwemory handles
- Inventory information: places, rooms, storage locations, item details, notes, ownership, purchase, warranty, reminder, and item-history information you enter.
- Photos and attachments: item photos and attached files are stored on your device. The current account-sync service does not upload their file contents.
- Account information: if you choose Google sign-in, Dwemory receives your verified Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image to create and display your account.
- Technical information: the service may process an IP address, request time, device or browser information, and security or error logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How information is used
Dwemory uses this information to provide offline inventory features, authenticate your account, synchronize the inventory data you choose to place in your account copy, maintain session security, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and support you when requested.
Storage and synchronization
Local information is stored on your device. The Android app uses an encrypted local database and secure device storage for its encryption key. If you enable account synchronization, the synchronized inventory state and account record are stored on Dwemory's self-hosted infrastructure. Network transfers use HTTPS.
Sharing
Dwemory does not sell your personal information and does not use it for third-party advertising. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate the product—such as Google for optional sign-in and infrastructure providers for hosting—or when required by law, to protect users, or with your direction.
Google user data
Google account data is used only for authentication and account presentation. Dwemory requests basic OpenID, email, and profile information. Its use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Device-local information remains until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Synchronized account information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security and legal obligations. To request deletion of your Dwemory account and synchronized information, email dwemoryapps@gmail.com from the account email. Backups may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
Your choices
You can use core local features without signing in, choose whether to synchronize, export your information, remove individual records, disable app permissions in Android settings, and request deletion of your account copy.
Children
Dwemory is a general household-organization product and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as the product changes; the effective date above will be revised when we do.
